Adult BJJ
Our Adult Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu program begins will incredible focus on the foundation needed to assure both immediate and long term success. There is nothing else we do in life where we learn a little bit of something new and then try to compete in it even though it’s seemingly so abstract. That does not happy here. Our goal is not to have a fight club. Our goal is to create highly skilled BJJ Practitioners and Grapplers. There is a solution to every problem but that solution should never be to go harder, faster and use more athleticism.
Our BJJ Basics Program is designed for students new to Jiu-Jitsu. The lesson plans build a foundation in sound strategy as well as the techniques to execute each phase. It’s in this program that students develop a general knowledge of top and bottom objectives. Special emphasis is placed on safe mobility and defense.
What class should I attend?
We have Adult BJJ Classes at the same time as our BJJ Basics Classes. If you are new and the concepts seem abstract to you, you should attend the BJJ Basics Classes. If there is an All Levels BJJ Class on the schedule, and there is not an option for BJJ Basics, the lesson plan for that All Levels BJJ Class will focus more on Basic concepts and all students are welcome to attend. If you have any questions about how you should plan your personal training schedule, please do not hesitate to ask an instructor.
These classes are not overly complex but a strong foundation in Concepts, Principles, Strategy and our system at Triumph is necessary to attend. Students new to Jiu-Jitsu are encouraged to attend the Basics BJJ Classes which run at the same time as our Adult BJJ Classes.
These classes are taught using the Fundamental curriculum but the pace is a little faster. Students from White to Black Belt frequently attend these classes.
These classes are for students of all skill levels. These classes focus on applying BJJ techniques when we don’t have the use of a gi to grab onto. Students typically wear shorts, spats and a tee shirt or rashguard to class.
These classes are for students of all skill levels. Each class focuses on four specific scenarios where both top and bottom players have strict objectives. Students bridge concept to practice through success while facing gradual increases in resistance.
